2019 Objectives

While a dozen objectives have been identified for the Peoriarea Chapter of the ISPE, those that seem the most urgent to me are the need to encourage high school students to consider a career in engineering and the importance of educating the public and government about the purpose and importance of engineering registration.

The United States graduates something like 70,000 engineers a year while India graduates at least 250,000 engineers a year and the Peoples Republic of China is said to graduate 600,000 a year. How long can America maintain any kind of technical leadership if those numbers continue?
